Terms of Service

1. What LiftPage is

LiftPage provides a platform for creating shareable support pages that link to third-party platforms and coordinate community help. LiftPage is a directory and coordination tool only.

LiftPage does not:

• Handle, process, or hold any money
• Guarantee the legitimacy of any third-party platform linked from a LiftPage
• Provide financial, legal, or professional advice
• Operate as a charity or nonprofit

2. Who can use LiftPage

You may use LiftPage if you are at least 18 years of age. By creating a LiftPage you represent that all information you provide is accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge.

3. Creating a LiftPage

When you create a LiftPage you are responsible for:

• The accuracy of your description and the legitimacy of your situation
• The links you choose to include — ensure they are your own legitimate campaigns
• Keeping your management URL private and secure
• Notifying us if you believe your management URL has been compromised

You agree not to create a LiftPage for a situation that is fabricated, exaggerated for financial gain, or intended to deceive supporters.

4. Content standards

You agree not to post content that is:

• False, misleading, or fraudulent
• Harassing, threatening, or abusive toward any person
• Discriminatory based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
• In violation of any third party's privacy or intellectual property rights
• Explicit, graphic, or inappropriate for a general audience

LiftPage reserves the right to remove any page or content that violates these standards without notice.

5. No financial responsibility

LiftPage is not a payment processor, fundraising platform, or financial intermediary. All financial transactions occur on third-party platforms (GoFundMe, Venmo, etc.) that operate independently of LiftPage.

LiftPage makes no representations about the legitimacy, safety, or performance of any third-party platform linked from a LiftPage. Use third-party platforms at your own discretion.

LiftPage is not responsible for any funds raised, lost, misused, or disputed on any third-party platform.

6. Sponsors and advertising

LiftPage displays sponsor content on supporter pages. Sponsors are vetted by LiftPage and must agree to conduct standards before placement. Sponsor placements are clearly presented as supported content.

LiftPage reserves the right to place, remove, or change sponsor content at any time.

7. Prayer chains and community features

The prayer chain feature allows community members to add their names to a list indicating they are praying for a family. This is a community support feature only. LiftPage makes no spiritual representations or guarantees of any kind.

Coordination template sign-ups (meals, carpool, childcare, etc.) are agreements between community members and families. LiftPage facilitates the connection but is not a party to these arrangements and is not responsible for their fulfillment.

8. Privacy and your address

Your private address is used only for local resource matching as described in our Privacy Policy. By providing your address you consent to this use.

LiftPage offers an optional privacy mode for family pages, provided as a free convenience. LiftPage makes commercial best efforts to honor privacy settings but provides the service “as is,” and families use it at their own discretion. LiftPage is not liable for page visibility arising from external search engines, user actions (including making a page public or sharing its link), or circumstances outside LiftPage’s reasonable control.

9. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of all content you upload to LiftPage including photos and descriptions. By uploading content you grant LiftPage a non-exclusive license to display that content on your LiftPage and in LiftPage promotional materials with your permission.

LiftPage's name, logo, and design are the property of LiftPage. You may not use them without written permission.

10. Termination

LiftPage reserves the right to suspend or remove any LiftPage at any time for violation of these terms, suspected fraud, or any reason we determine to be in the interest of our community.

You may close your LiftPage at any time using your management URL.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

LiftPage is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that LiftPage will be available at all times, error-free, or free from security vulnerabilities.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LiftPage shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of LiftPage or any third-party platform linked from a LiftPage.

13. Partner Subscriptions

LiftPage offers paid Partner Directory listings on a recurring monthly subscription basis. Available tiers and prices are shown at signup (currently Community $50/month, Founding $75/month, and Priority $150/month). By subscribing, you authorize LiftPage, through its payment processor Stripe, to charge your payment method the applicable monthly fee automatically each month until you cancel.

Cancellation.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your partner management page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; your listing remains active through the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again after cancellation.

Refunds.

All subscription payments are final and non-refundable, with one exception: your initial (first) payment is refundable in full if you request a refund by emailing nic@bizsmpl.com within 24 hours of that first charge. Refund requests must be submitted by email to that address to be valid. Renewal and subsequent payments are non-refundable; to avoid future charges, cancel before your next billing date.

Price changes.

LiftPage may change subscription prices on a going-forward basis with reasonable notice; any change will not affect a billing period already paid. Founding Partner rates, where offered, remain locked as described at signup.

Service availability.

Listings are subject to verification and to these Terms; LiftPage may remove or decline a listing that violates its policies.

14. Contributions / Support

LiftPage accepts voluntary contributions to help offset the costs of operating and maintaining the service. Contributions may be made one-time or as a recurring monthly amount. By contributing, you authorize LiftPage, through its payment processor Stripe, to charge your payment method the amount and at the frequency you select; recurring contributions continue until you cancel, which you may do at any time.

LiftPage is not a registered 501(c)(3) or other tax-exempt charitable organization. Contributions are not tax-deductible. Contributions are voluntary, are not a purchase of any product or service, and are non-refundable. Contributed funds are used to support the operation and development of LiftPage; any surplus may be used at LiftPage's discretion, including to support community initiatives.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of LiftPage after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will post significant changes on liftpage.org.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, United States.

17. Affiliate Links

LiftPage may contain affiliate links, including links to products on Amazon and other retailers, from which LiftPage may earn a commission when you make a purchase. Any products or resources we mention are provided for informational purposes only and are not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. LiftPage is not responsible for third-party products, retailers, the accuracy of their listings, or any purchase you make through them; those transactions are governed by the retailer’s own terms.
